PURPOSE: A sealing structure for a union nut of a gas meter is provided to implement dual sealing by sealing a meter body and a union nut with a sealing string and attaching a sealing sheet to the union nut. CONSTITUTION: A sealing structure for a union nut(30) of a gas meter comprises a projection ring(31), an upper sealing hole(32), an extension part(11), a lower sealing hole(12), a sealing string(40), a sealing sheet(50), and a convex part(16). The projection ring is integrally formed on non-adjacent four sides of the octagonal union nut. The upper sealing hole is formed on the projection ring. The extension part is formed on the top of a meter body and comprises a lower sealing hole facing the upper sealing hole. The sealing string is inserted to the upper sealing hole and the lower sealing hole. The sealing sheet is attached to an attachment surface(33) between the projection ring and extended toward an inlet pipe(15) of the meter body. The convex part is formed on the inlet pipe to make the thickness of the inlet pipe the same as the attachment surface. |
