An image picking-up device subtracts a dark electric current component from a digital image picking-up signal into which an image picking-up signal formed by divisional exposure with divided exposure time is A/D converted, and successively accumulates its result at, and adds it to, a first memory unit. The image picking-up device then carries out divisional exposure with an image picking-up element shielded from light, and subtracts a dark electric current component from a digital image picking-up signal into which an image picking-up signal is A/D converted, and successively accumulates it at, and adds it to, a second memory unit. The image picking-up device subtracts the digital image picking-up signal stored in the second memory unit from the digital image picking-up signal stored in the first memory unit and outputs its result. The first and second memory units allocate a word length longer than that of one A/D converted pixel one pixel. |
