PURPOSE: A device and a method for managing power are provided to turn on only a heterogeneous network interface and turn off the other heterogeneous network interfaces, thereby minimizing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: If a receiving traffic is generated in a multimode terminal(210), a paging controller(220) grasps a current location of the multimode terminal. The paging controller transfers a paging request to the multimode terminal. The paging controller transfers location information of the multimode terminal to a power manager(230). The power manager manages status information of network interfaces of the multimode terminal.
