Signal processing unit is made with possibility of implementing gradiometre of the second order; at that, it also contains feedback signal shaper for each magnetometre, which implements controlled mixing of signals with coefficients within the range of 0 to 1, which is connected to outputs of magnetometres; at that, magnetometres have similar sensitivity. Electronic gradiometre unit includes the first, the second, the third and the fourth adders, the first, the second and the third attenuators and multiplexer the output of which is the unit output; at that, the first, the second and the third unit inputs and outputs of each adder are connected to inputs of multiplexer controlled from computer; the first input is connected to input of the first attenuator, he second input - to inverting input of the first adder and to input of the second attenuator, and the third input is connected to inverting inputs of the second and third adders; at that, output of the first attenuator is connected to non-inverting inputs of the first and the third adders, output of the second attenuator - to non-inverting input of the second adder, the output of which is connected to inverting input of the fourth adder, and output of the first adder thorough the third attenuator - to non-inverting input of the fourth adder. Magnetometres based on SQUIDs are installed in the measuring probe coaxially and parallel to each other. ^ EFFECT: recording of magnetic signals with sensitivity at the level of 50-100 fT in open area, ie without using any external screening devices, by mixing the signals of magnetometres and taking into account mutual spatial orientation of magnetometres. ^ 3 dwg, 3 cl
