摘要 FIELD: physics, computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to object identification. The method for adaptive object identification involves the following: construction of empirical models of images of possibly identified objects based on prior information on parametres of probably observed objects; construction of a simulation model for specific observation conditions based on prior information on observation system design and statistical properties of the medium in which the observed object is located, taking into account noise and interference; construction of approximate and exact identification algorithms based on the simulation model and empirical models respectively; approximate identification of the observed object through enumeration of constructed approximate identification algorithms by verifying hypotheses generated by the simulation model; exact identification of the observed object based on solutions selected during approximate identification by evaluating parametres of the identified object using the constructed exact identification algorithms. The method can be realised by hardware in the respective system and by program in form of respective computer software. ^ EFFECT: faster identification and broader classes of identifying observed objects. ^ 2 cl, 1 dwg
