<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which does not generate unevenness and light leakage, at a corner part even after a lapse of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display having polarizing plates each having a structure, wherein a polarizer is sandwiched by two polarizing plate protection films on both sides of a liquid crystal cell in which a medium whose degree of optical anisotropy is changed by applying an electric field is encapsulated, at least one of the polarizing plate protective films contains an acrylic resin (A) and a cellulose ester resin (B) at a mass ratio of 95:5 to 30:70 in a compatible state; the acrylic resin (A) has a weight average molecular weight Mw of 80,000 to 1,000,000; an acyl group of the cellulose ester resin (B) has a total substitution degree (T) of 2.0 to 3.0 and a 3-7C acyl group of the cellulose ester resin (B) has a substitution degree of 1.2 to 3.0, and the cellulose ester resin (B) has a weight average molecular weight Mw of 75,000 to 280,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
