PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of narrowing the frame thereof and achieving slimming-down thereof by grounding a conductive film formed on the surface side of a counter substrate without using a conductive rubber. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with an electrode substrate (TFTS) having pixel electrodes and common electrodes disposed on the surface thereof; a counter substrate (CFS) disposed facing the electrode substrate; and a liquid crystal panel constituted by packing a liquid crystal material between the electrode substrate and the counter substrate. The liquid crystal display device includes the conductive film 4 formed on the surface side of the counter electrode and a grounding wire 11 formed on the surface of the electrode substrate, and the conductive film and the grounding wire are connected with a conductive paste 10.
