PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure necessary braking force and release it reliably even when an automatic pressurization function, which can increase the W/C (wheel cylinder) pressure regardless of brake pedal operation, malfunctions. SOLUTION: If an ESC (Electronic Stability Control) is malfunctioning during locking control or release control for a parking brake, a request to press a brake pedal is sent to the driver. Therefore, while the ESC malfunctions, that is, when the automatic pressurization function of a service brake is malfunctions, the W/C pressure can be increased because the driver presses on the brake pedal.
