<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment which achieves prevention of damage of parts when assembly and also improvement of degree of freedom in design. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A boundary B of a front cover 10 configured to house a base unit 20A having a cylindrical rotating dial 6 is deviated from the center C of a circle of cylindrical shape. The front cover 10 has a pair of guide portions 15a and 15b, and a diameter D of the circle of the cylindrical shape is larger than width D1 of an opening 13 of a housing portion 12 of the front cover. The base unit has a guide portion 28A having at least part of a cylindrical surface, and the outside diameter D3 of the cylindrical surface is larger than width D2 of space between the pair of guide portions. When assembly, these guide portions 15a and 15b and 28A come into contact with each other to make the width D2 large, whereby the width D1 becomes larger than the diameter D.
