PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack shaft support device capable of suppressing the twist of a rack shaft by using a simple structure, and having excellent steering feeling. SOLUTION: The rack shaft support device 13 is applied to a rack-pinion type vehicular steering device 1. A holding member 23 holding a ball 21 in a rotatable manner is fixed to a fixing hole 22 in a rack housing 10. A track groove 20 extending in the axial direction of a rack shaft 8 is formed in a back side 8b of a rack 8a of the rack shaft 8. The ball 21 is engaged with the track groove 20 of the rack shaft 8 in a rolling manner. The ball 21 is arranged at the position opposite to a pinion 7a across the rack shaft 8.
