<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a scanning electrode drive circuit, and to achieve stable discharge control. <P>SOLUTION: A plasma display device includes: a panel including a plurality of discharge cells each having a scanning electrode, a sustain electrode and a data electrode; the scanning electrode drive circuit 33 driving the scanning electrode by constituting one field of a plurality of sub fields having a write-in period in which write-in discharge is generated in the discharge cell by applying scanning pulses to the scanning electrode, and a sustain period in which sustain discharge is generated in the discharge cell by applying scanning side sustain pulses to the scanning electrode; and a power supply circuit which supplies power to the scanning electrode drive circuit 33. The scanning electrode drive circuit 33 includes a pulse generation part 40, and the pulse generation part 40 generates the scanning pulse and the scanning side sustain pulse each having equal absolute value of a peak value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
