<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct lighting system having a lower-profile shape. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting system as the direct lighting system includes a light emitting unit having a light source and a light source driving circuit board for driving the light source, and a supporting member having a first supporting member (a bottom face) and a second supporting member (a sidewall) formed around the first supporting member. The light source is arranged at a position corresponding to the opening of the first supporting member, and the light source driving circuit board is opposed to the outside face of the second supporting member. Thus, as compared with the construction that the light source driving circuit board is planarly laid and arranged on the outer face of the first supporting member, the corresponding length of the lighting system in the emitting direction of the light source or in the normal direction of the face of the first supporting member can be reduced, resulting in the lower-profile lighting system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
