PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate stress caused by a heat expansion coefficient difference in a structure made by applying a cast-in-insertion process to a long member such as a delivery pipe or the like formed from an iron-based material by using a cast body of a light-alloy-based material.
SOLUTION: Both ends of the delivery pipe 22 are joined to a fitting cap 24 to be fixed to the cast body 20 so as not to axially move. The delivery pipe 22 is not straight but bent in a region other than this fixed region and besides is subjected to a cast-in-insertion process with a gap 26 formed between itself and the cast body 20. Even if tensile force and compressive force are generated, therefore, due to a heat expansion difference between the delivery pipe 22 and the cast body 20, the bent state of the delivery pipe 22 changes with the gap 26 between itself and the cast body 20, defined as a margin for the change. Hence, the tensile stress and the compressive force is alleviated. The durability of the delivery pipe 22 which supplies a high-pressure fuel to each fuel injection valve is thereby enhanced.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
