<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch capable of performing time correction based on a satellite signal transmitted from a position information satellite while optimizing power consumption according to a reception status. <P>SOLUTION: The wrist watch 1 with GPS includes a GPS device 70, a controller 40, a dial 11 and a pointer 12. The GPS device 70 receives a satellite signal transmitted from a GPS satellite, captures a GPS satellite within a capture time based on the received satellite signal, obtains satellite information from the satellite signal transmitted from the captured GPS satellite and generates time correction information based on satellite information. The controller 40 corrects internal time information based on the time correction information. The dial 11 and the pointer 12 display the internal time information.
