<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the shape of a detected dark or blind point is extremely rough and inspection precision is not high though a conventional perimeter has a long inspection time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This apparatus for extracting the contour of a visual field is equipped with a visual field contour extracting screen forming means, a visual field contour recording screen forming means, a fixation target display controlling means, a target scanning line setting means, a target display controlling means, a target display position memory means, a first indication receiving means, a target first display controlling means, a second indication receiving means, a target second display controlling means, a third indication receiving means, a target third display controlling means, a visual field contour position deciding indication receiving means, a visual field contour position recording means, and a scanning succeeding means.
