摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of defining dimension of a conductive element and a dimension of clearance between the conductive elements so as to obtain an FSS pattern which is transparent and inconspicuous. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the FSS for transparent radio wave absorbers, the method of defining the dimension L of a conductive element and a dimension of clearance g between the conductive elements includes the steps of: (I) performing digitalization as an inverse number of contrast to a spatial frequency f with respect to one-dimensional array along a direction of a certain FSS pattern; (II) calculating an intensity limit which can acquire a contrast sensitivity function CSF matching the RC plot group obtained in the step (I), using the contrast sensitivity function CSF; (III) creating a map indicating an intensity limit line A<SB>1</SB>which connects the plots of the same intensity LL<SB>ef</SB>on the two-dimensional coordinate which sets the dimension g as a horizontal axis and sets the dimension L as a vertical axis; and (IV) determining the dimension L and the dimension g from the map.
