<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact axial gap motor which is excellent in axial stability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Stators 2 and 3 are arranged on both sides in the axial direction of a rotor 1. A mechanism 8 which keeps a gap magnetically is arranged at a radially inside section irrelevant to torque generation of a rotor 1 and the stators 2 and 3.
