PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition which is capable of preventing the wheel abrasion and additionally capable of preventing the adhesion and deposition onto a track and which is capable of reducing the influence on the accelerating performance and braking performance. SOLUTION: There is provided the lubricant composition that is interposed between the wheel and rail of a railway vehicle. The composition includes one or more components selected from the group consisting of (A) a bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane derivative, (B) an ester compound having in the molecule an alicyclic structure and/or a fatty acid ester compound having in the molecule a gem structure, and (C) a polybutene having a number-average molecular weight of 200-3,000.
