The piston pump has a piston (1) moved back and forth in a cylinder. A front surface of the piston limits a high-pressure pump area (2). An end of the piston is pressed at a radial projection of a drive shaft (4) by a spring (3). The radial projection is contacted with a roller (5). The radial projection is formed by a radially shifted crank pin (6) of the drive shaft. The crankpin comprises a cylindrical lateral surface that is formed on a side of the crankpin by a groove base of a dig-like notch. The notch has a depth extending on both sides in a circumferential direction.
