AIR-COOL INTENSIFYING APPARATUS FOR GLASS PLATE, AND AIR-COOL INTENSIFYING METHOD

Disclosed are a glass-plate air-cool intensifying apparatus, which can strengthen a glass plate bent to have a double-curve surface without raising the heating temperature of the glass plate and without raising the wind pressure from air injection ports, and an air-cool intensifying method.  The air-cool intensifying apparatus has a lower blow member constituted of a plurality of toothed blade-shaped members having many air injection ports arrayed at the leading end faces.  The blade-shaped members are constituted into a shape, in which the leading end faces are bulged downward so that the clearances between the air injection ports and the bent glass plate (G) become substantially homogeneous.  The arrays of the air injection ports in the leading end faces of the individual blade-shaped members are bent, in a top plan view, at predetermined angles in one direction at the two side portions thereof.
