<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the freedom of the arrangement position of retractors and to make appropriate the fastening position of lap belts and shoulder belts to an occupant, in an occupant restraining device in which right and left lap belts and right and left shoulder belts for restraining the occupant can be pulled out of the retractors. <P>SOLUTION: The retractors 22, 24, 26, 28 are arranged at each take-up side end of a right and left pair of the lap belts 14, 16 and a right and left pair of the shoulder belts 18, 20. When each belt is pulled out, advanced length of each belt is detected with retractor motors 32, 34, 36, 38 (detection means). By making an ECU 40 (a control means) operate each retractor motor 32, 34, 36, 38 (drive means) based on the advanced length, a difference of the advanced length between the right and left lap belts 14, 16 and a difference of the advanced length between the right and left shoulder belts 18, 20 can each be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
