<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for driving a motor, which collects a regenerative current even during low speed operation of a motor with a low induced voltage, and reuses most of the extracted energy. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device for driving the motor is equipped with: a main battery; an auxiliary battery; a driver that supplies power, supplied from the main battery, to a motor so as to drive the motor; a large capacity capacitor connected in parallel or in series with the auxiliary battery; a charging means that supplies a current to the auxiliary battery so as to charge the auxiliary battery and supplies a current to the large capacity capacitor so as to store power in the large capacity capacitor; and a control means that controls switching between "powering" for supplying power, supplied from the main battery, to the motor via the driver and "regenerating" for collecting electric energy generated from the motor, and also executes control such that, when the speed of the motor is sufficiently fast in the "regeneration", a regenerative current is made to flow to the main battery via the driver, and when the speed of the motor becomes slow, the regenerative current is made to flow to the large capacity capacitor via the charging means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
