摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce deterioration in fuel consumption due to catalyst warm-up while reducing deterioration in emission in a hybrid vehicle using an engine as one power source. <P>SOLUTION: In the hybrid vehicle using the engine as one power source, an ECU obtains a catalyst temperature TC (S100), and when the catalyst temperature TC is lower than a catalyst temperature T1 necessary for exhaust-gas purification in an engine continuous operation (YES in S102), carries out a catalyst warm-up operation (S104). When the catalyst temperature TC is between T1 and a catalyst temperature T2 (> T1) necessary for exhaust-gas purification in engine starting (YES in S106), an intermittent inhibited operation for prohibiting an intermittent operation of the engine is performed (S108).
