<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line head capable of suppressing the occurrence of exposure failures by reducing the divergence of focus caused in each optical system line when the cross-section in a sub-scanning direction of the surface of a latent image carrier is curved, when the surface of the latent image carrier such as a photoreceptor is exposed by using a plurality of lens lines. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of lens lines face opposite positions different from each other in the sub-scanning direction of the surface of the latent image carrier respectively, the surface area facing the line head of the surface of the latent image carrier is curved in a sub-scanning cross-section, and an optical system imaging light emitted from a light emitting element on the surface of the photoreceptor includes two lens surfaces having positive power.
