<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barcode reader of wide reading view field. <P>SOLUTION: This multiple aperture imaging barcode reader makes a movable mirror position in different focal distances and fields of view, in order to image items. The barcode reader includes: a housing including the first aperture and the second aperture; a mirror assembly movable to the first and second positions; a camera for acquiring the first image of the first item, when the mirror assembly is positioned in the first position and when the first item is optically matched with the first aperture, and for acquiring the second image of the second item, when the mirror assembly is positioned in the second position and when the second item is optically matched with the second aperture; and a processor for identifying and decoding the first barcode label on the first item, and for identifying and decoding the second barcode label on the second item. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
