PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel repellent against house dust mites, which is safely used in human living environments at doses lower than those conventionally used, gives good impression at use without emitting any irritating or unpleasant odor and is excellent in repellent effect against house dust mites. SOLUTION: The repellent against house dust mites contains at least one active ingredient selected from the group consisting of indole, phenylacetaldehyde, oxahexadecanolide, isobutyl quinoline, tonalid, acetyleugenol, para-methyl quinoline, santalinol, musk oil, γ-undecalactone, γ-decalactone and a mixture of isopropyl myristate and bornyl cyclohexanol.
