PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle capable of properly changing a turning range of a steered wheel according to a behavior state of the vehicle. SOLUTION: An electronic control unit 36 compares a detected real yaw rateγwith a target yaw rateγ* for judging an oversteer condition to judge whether or not the vehicle is in an oversteer condition. If the vehicle is in an oversteer condition, the electronic control unit 36 calculates a turning range deficiencyδa, that is, a difference between a mechanically maximum turning range of right and left front wheels FW1 and FW2 and a turning range thereof to be limited depending on a vehicle speed V, and calculates a vehicle body slip angleβgenerated in the vehicle body. Then, the electronic control unit 36 determines, by using the turning range deficiencyδa and the vehicle body slip angleβ, a turning range that allows the front wheels FW1 and FW2 to turn to the direction decreasing the vehicle body slip angleβ.
