<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-in device that corrects a tilt of an oil seal to match the axis of a ram and the axis of a recessed or protruded portion where the oil seal is pressed-in. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The press-in device (1) includes: a press section (2) for moving a piston (6) forward and backward in the axial direction; and a ram (11) mounted on the end of the piston (6): wherein a component (8) is pressed into the recessed or protruded portion (9) formed on a work (20) by pressure-contacting the ram (11) to the component (8). In the device, the ram (11) can move forward and backward in the axial direction together with the piston (6) and can slide in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction as well.
