PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve collection (collecting, collection) of quality statistics. SOLUTION: The method of collecting quality statistics to be disclosed includes: a step of receiving a collection mode signal including information representing a collection mode of quality statistics which is a request mode, wherein the request mode has at least two possible values including a first mode and a second mode; a step of entering in the first mode if the request mode is the first mode; a step of starting in the second mode if the request mode is the second mode; a step of connecting to a test stream upon reception of a connection request signal which includes a request for connection to the test stream in the first mode; a step of automatically connecting to a test stream whenever resources of a first device needed for collection of the quality statistics are available in the second mode; and a step of collecting the quality statistics.
