PURPOSE: A navigation system for a vehicle, and a route guiding method using the same are provided to guide a route from a current position to a destination with voice. CONSTITUTION: A navigation system for a vehicle comprises a GPS(21), a voice message generating unit(41), a route checking unit(43), and an audio processing unit(45). The GPS senses a current position of the vehicle. The voice message generating unit figures out a route from the current position to a destination based on route information data from outside, and generates a voice guide message. The route checking unit checks whether the vehicle travels in the selected route. The audio processing unit processes the voice guide message.
