PURPOSE: A rod guide and a shock absorber using the same are provided to prevent the abrasion and damage to an oil seal by discharging fluid to a reservoir chamber when the pressure of a piston vale increases. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(50) using a rod guide(156) comprises a main body(157), an oil hole, and a pressure control hole(158a). The main body has a through hole in which a piston rod passes and a protrusion to separate an inner pipe and an outer pipe with fixed distance. The oil hole passes between the inner pipe and the outer pipe from the upper part of the main body. The pressure control hole connects the inner pipe and the outer pipe and passes through the protrusion of the main body in columnar direction.
