<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide protective trays and a package, which can omit buffer materials, corrugated board packaging boxes, etc. and are reusable any number of times. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of protective trays 2 are formed of the synthetic resin of the thin walls of bottom walls 21 and peripheral walls 22. Parts of the peripheral walls are recessed inward so as to form recessed portions 26 on the outer surface side and form vertical support surface portions 27a and horizontal support surface portions 27b on the inner surface side. The upper and lower ends of a product 1 are supported with these. The product is bound with PP bands 3 provided through grooves 30 and through portions 29, 29 in the state in which the product is sandwiched with the protective trays on the top and the bottom. In this state, it is covered with a heat-shrinkable film 4, and is shrunk by heat. The upper and lower ends of the product are supported at the inner positions having space between the positions and the bottom walls and the peripheral walls. An intermediate part 17 of the product is covered in the state in which a gap 42 is present between the part and the film. The protective trays are stacked, collected, and subjected to use repeatedly.
