<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-quality image by suppressing lowering of developing efficiency even if toner electrification amount becomes low by electrifying toner in a method other than triboelectrification in one-component developing system. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method, the toner is conveyed to a developing area opposed to a photoreceptor 1 by a toner carrying sleeve 3 after a charge imparting member 8 to which voltage is applied imparts charge to a toner layer on the toner carrying sleeve 3 and electrifies it, and then an image is developed by developing electric field formed between the toner carrying sleeve and the photoreceptor in the developing area. In the method, the toner carrying sleeve is vibrated by a vibration member 7, whereby the toner layer on the toner carrying sleeve in the developing area is mechanically stirred to accelerate development by the developing electric field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
