<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining status monitoring apparatus for sufficiently monitoring the machining status of a workpiece based on an image acquired from a CCD camera. <P>SOLUTION: A machining status monitoring apparatus 1 is installed in a machine tool, and provided with: a plurality of actual CCD cameras 11, 12, 13 and 14 for generating two-dimensional actual image data by picking up the images of a tool and a workpiece from different points of view; a virtual image generation processing part 18 having a plurality of virtual CCD cameras 19, 20, 21, and 22 corresponding to respective actual CCD cameras for generating two-dimensional virtual image data by picking up the images of the tool and the workpiece related with a three-dimensional model by the virtual CCD cameras from each visual point; and a display control processing part 23 for selecting at least one of the virtual CCD cameras corresponding to the two-dimensional virtual image data in which the top end of the tool is not hidden by the workpiece among from the generated two-dimensional virtual image data, and for making a screen display device 65 display the two-dimensional actual image data generated by the actual CCD camera corresponding to the selected virtual CCD camera. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
