PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to confirm encrypted content stored in an external device, and associated with a content key stored in a memory card.

SOLUTION: A display apparatus includes: a close-proximity wireless communication unit 300 configured to be able to communicate with an external device having one or more contents in a peer-to-peer fashion; a means 301 configured to acquire the content-specific information of content held by an external device with which a short-range wireless communication device is performing short-range wireless communication; a content retrieval module 302 configured to detect the content-specific information matched with information indicating the content acquired from list information stored in a user data area; and a display module 304 configured to display a list of content corresponding to the detected content-specific information on a display screen of a display device.
