<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fluorophosphate glass wherein productivity is enhanced by reducing volatility at a high temperature while reducing the load of changing optical design. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the fluorophosphate glass by melting prepared glass raw materials, it is characterized in that a composition of second fluorophosphate glass where a molar ratio O<SP>2-</SP>/P<SP>5+</SP>of the content of O<SP>2-</SP>to the content of P<SP>5+</SP>is increased to 3.5 or more is determined while keeping a composition and optical characteristics of first fluorophosphate glass constant or nearly constant, the glass raw materials are prepared basing on the composition of the second fluorophosphate glass and then the glass is produced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
