PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practically useful device employing several layers of graphenes. SOLUTION: A resistance variable electronic device includes: a substrate 101 including a step 102; a graphene layer 103 formed on the substrate 101 including the step 102; a probe 105 movable on the graphene layer 103 in contact with the graphene layer with predetermined contact pressure; and a common electrode 104 connected to the graphene layer 103. The graphene layer 103 includes: a flat part 131 at the side of a recessed part of the step 102; a barrier area 132 formed at the side of the flat part 131 rather than the recessed part of the step 102; an injection area 133 formed in the step 102; and a flat part 134 at the side of a projecting part of the step 102.
