PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space between a ball bearing retaining body and a rotor, and to reduce the whole length of a motor by providing the ball bearing retaining body on a front lid in a state that a bolt is attached in a retaining body screw hole of the ball bearing retaining body. SOLUTION: The ball bearing retaining structure for the rotating shaft is equipped with a front lid screw hole 5 formed on the front lid 4, and the retaining body screw hole 20 formed on the ball bearing retaining body 6 and corresponding with the front lid screw hole 5. The bolt 8 comprises a screw part 8a and a non-screw part 8b, and the bolt 8 is attached to the front lid 4 in a state of being provided on the ball bearing retaining body 6.
