SPHERICAL BEARING AND SPHERICAL SURFACE MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical motor, consisting of a stator shaped in spherical shell and a spherical rotor integrated within the stator, which can reduce a frictional loss during rotor rotation and enlarge a working range of the rotor. SOLUTION: The frictional loss when a rotor 13 rotates is reduced in such a way that the rotor 13 is supported by a spherical bearing 1 in which bearing balls 6 are integrated between a bearing holder 2 provided with an air introducing hole 3 in the axial center and a bearing cap 8, and further the bearing balls 6 are floated by a compressed air introduced into the bearing holder 2.
