PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for facilitating the transition from an OFF/low-power or standby state to an On/activation state. SOLUTION: The television control and image system includes: a screen; an image display system coupled to the screen; an on-screen display (OSD) controller coupled to the display system and the screen; and a control module coupled to the OSD controller, wherein the control module includes a main processor configured to have a reduced power operating mode, and the main processor includes a control module adapted to maintain an operation parameter of the television during the reduced power operation mode.
