PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-side open type magnetic circuit that secures a sufficient space for storing a coil essential to a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) sensor and improves the uniformity and spreading of a sensitivity area, magnetic field intensity, and exploration depth. SOLUTION: In the single side open type multiple cylindrical magnetic circuit, the axial lengths and diameters differ from each other, a plurality of cylindrical magnets 2 and 3 magnetized in the cylinder axis (z-axis) direction are arranged so that cylindrical magnets 2 having adjacent magnetized directions are mutually inverted, the magnetic flux of the main cylindrical magnet 2 is varied partially in the axial direction of the main cylindrical magnet, and the magnetic flux transmitting a measuring region has uniformity and spreading of the sensitivity area, and a detecting coil 4 having an outer diameter storable inside a cylindrical magnet of a minimum diameter is arranged in an internal space formed of the plurality of cylindrical magnets while the center of the detecting coil 4 is aligned to the axial center of the cylindrical magnets.
