An interchangeable lens unit (2) is provided with a fourth lens group unit (78), a sixth lens group unit (77), a focus lens unit (75), a zoom ring unit (83), a focus motor (64), and a lens microcomputer (40).  The focus motor (64) is fixed to the sixth lens group unit (77), and drives the focus lens unit (75) in the Z axis direction with respect to the sixth lens group unit (77) by using power.  In the case where the sixth lens group unit (77) is driven in one direction with respect to an imaging sensor (11) by means of a zoom ring unit (83), the lens microcomputer (40) controls the focus motor (64) so that the focus lens unit (75) is driven in one direction with respect to the sixth lens group unit (77).
