The connector has plug connector parts (1, 2) with contact parts (8, 7), and an electrical switch (10) that is arranged between a power supply line and one of the contact parts (8). A tool-actuated mechanical connection i.e. screw connection, is provided between the plug connector parts. The switch is movable between an ON position and an OFF position. The forming or releasing of mechanical connection is non-executable in the ON position, and executable in the OFF position. A locking pin (6) is provided at one of the plug connector parts (2).
