PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a light emitting element and a device, the light emitting element and the device using the same are provided to improve light extraction efficiency by forming a photonic crystal pattern on a buffer layer. CONSTITUTION: A buffer layer(108) is formed on a substrate(100). A photo crystal pattern(106) and a pad pattern(107) are formed on the buffer layer. A light emitting structure(110) includes a first conductive pattern(112), a light emitting pattern and a second conductive pattern(116). A first electrode(140) is electrically connected to the first conductive pattern. A second electrode(150) is electrically connected to the second conductive pattern.
