METHOD FOR COLOURING A METAL PART

The invention relates to a method for colouring a metal part (1) that makes it possible to associate the colour of the parts (1) to the dimensions thereof. The method is implemented by: a first step that comprises cleaning the part (1) for preparing the surface thereof for oxidation; and a second step that comprises oxidising the part (1) for colouring the same. The method is characterised in that the cleaning is interrupted before the dimensions of the part (1) are modified. The method of the invention makes it possible to obtain a part having predetermined dimensions in a simple and reproducible manner.
