<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device having a long lifetime and improved heat-radiating properties. <P>SOLUTION: The illuminating device 4 has a cross section which is substantially a circular arc shape and is equipped with a translucent cover member 30 set so as to extend in an A-direction, a mounting board 20, and a heat-radiating member 40 attached to the translucent cover member 30.
