<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily remove the deposit accumulated in an exhaust passage and the nozzle hole of a fuel adding injector even during operation. <P>SOLUTION: When deposit is accumulated in the additive injector for adding a fuel to an exhaust emission control catalyst, a high-pressure fuel is injected by supplying the fuel from a common rail 23 to the injector 34 through an auxiliary pipe 41 other than normal pipes, and the deposit is removed by the injected high-pressure fuel, or a detergent for chemically removing the deposit is supplied into the additive injector through the auxiliary pipe for removing the deposit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
