<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branching joint which can branch a fluid such as gas from a resin made main pipe and can keep a bored opening in an opened state without blocking up the opening part with surely holding a hole saw after completion of boring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The branching joint 1 includes a joint body 2 comprising a saddle part 21 which is firmly fixed on the outer peripheral part of the resin made main pipe, a cylindrical boring pipe part 22 provided to protrude from the saddle part and a cylindrical branching part pipe joint section 23 which communicates with the boring pipe part and to which the fluid branched from the main pipe is sent, a boring cutter 3 mounted in the inner diameter side of the boring pipe part to cut the main pipe and an annular retaining member 5 engaged with at least one of the boring pipe part and the boring cutter to retain the boring cutter in the boring pipe member. When the boring cutter 3 is retained by the boring pipe part 22, a flow channel allowing communication between the inside and outside of the boring pipe part separated by the boring cutter is formed.
