<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting block which is buried under a road surface for melting the snow on the road surface, manufacturable at low cost, and enables the operations for measures (change of a member) against the secular change and damage to the exposed portion of the road surface (upper surface of a nozzle body) at low cost. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A water flow pipe 2 and a rise pipe 3 are installed in a concrete block body 1. An upwardly opened water chamber part 41 is formed in the block body at the upper part of the rise pipe. The snow melting block comprises a cover part (cover body 42) for closing the upper part of the water chamber part and a tube part (center valve body 43) which communicates with the rise pipe and in which an opening/closing valve mechanism is installed.
