PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an adsorbent which can be used mainly for the separation and refinement of carbon monoxide, propylene, etc., and on which a copper chloride (I) is supported easily and economically without a high-temperature treatment. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the adsorbent, a copper halide (I) obtained by the reaction of a copper halide (II) with a metal copper in the presence of an acid and a carrier is supported on the carrier.
